VENICE, A LIVING HERITAGE
photographic exhibition by Daniele Dainelli
3–11 June 2008
Nguyen Dinh Chieu Pedestrian Street
For the duration of the Festival, Venice is the subject of a sensitive photo exhibition by the artist Daniele Dainelli.
Venice is a city full of echoes from the past, from architecture to gondole boats, from canals to its people. In few places around the world is life so indissolubly linked to history, which is eternally alive within the city. Venice, where cultural heritage means past, present and future, is an example of a reality in which today can become tomorrow imperceptibly, without hesitation, where everyday novelties are always innovative, infinite reinterpretations of the eternal, solid and magnificent past.
The pictures presented in Nguyen Dinh Chieu are taken by one of the best young Italian photographers, Daniele Dainelli, whose art inclines towards experimentation, an objectification of feelings caught in colors, lights and images. Dainelli grasps Venice’s true soul, suggesting in this path through Venice a mystical experience through one of the world’s best-known art-cities.
