Beijing opera comes to Hanoi

Lotus Troupe from Guangxi, China will give one Beijing opera performance at the Hanoi Opera House before travelling to the ancient city of Hue to participate in this years Hue Festival.

Lotus Troupe was formed in 2004 in Guangxi province, China, gathering many well-known circus artists, Beijing opera singers, dancers, etc. who belong to different ethnic groups. All of them are first and second grade honoured artists.

The troupe has won many national prizes for its items. One of the most outstanding plays of Lotus is “Da Con Xuat Tuong”.

Lotus has participated in many international art festivals in France, Thailand, Singapore, etc. The troupe will perform its best items in its show in Hanoi.
