Black Forest
Black Forest is the latest film by Vietnamese director Vuong Duc, whose previous films include The Sawyers and Lost and Found. Black Forest tells the story of the disintegration of a family of lumber workers, daring to cut down old trees and violating the divine spirit of the ancient forest. Rising above all is the passionate love of Hoat, a young and brave lumber worker, for his father’s lover Van.
Black Forest was nominated for a Golden Kite award in 2008.
The Director, Vuong Duc, will be present at this showing to talk about his film and answer questions.
