HCMC – “Open Stage” Project

Open Stage project is designed to help performing artists and audiences stay connected. It encourages artists to be creative and experiment new ideas by applying to the programme that happens every month, exchange and discuss experiences of each different art forms.

Open Stage Project will be held each month with different art forms which includes: workshops and performances.

I.Workshop with artist Nguyen Tan Loc (contemporary dance)
(Workshop is designed for unprofessional targets from 14 years old and above, maximum 30 members in a class/period)
Time: 23,24,25 Feb 2011 from 7 – 8.15 pm
Artist Tấn Lộc will inspire and instruct you how to link yourself to the daily familiar things around you namely the table, the chair, the handkerchief, the paper, the mirror and so on; and how to turn them into your performance props with lots of meaning and imagination. Moreover, this workshop is to encourage your creation and introduce some interactive movement rules of your bodies towards your surroundings, things in your touch or your insight. This workshop is also help you discover your bodies, and your breath…, thus achieving a totally new and interesting look at things that you used or are using with a particular connection of your own.

Besides, the art of contemporary dance can help you turn your daily activities and routines that you hardly pay attention to into exciting and artful dance movements

II. The performance & discussing forum introducing different types of experimental art on stage:
