From Friends of Vietnam Heritage:
Friends of Vietnam Heritage (FVH), together with a French non-profit organization would like to present the screening of Perrine Le Roy’s “Crossroads: Between Vietnam and Mongolia”. A 30 minute silent documentary to be accompanied by a live concert.
Through observation of daily life of both countries: from their emptiness, to their crowds, from family relationships, to everyday expressions of their beliefs, from a Vietnamese cyclo-driver to a Mongolian shaman’s spirit ritual, “Crossroads: Between Vietnam and Mongolia” brings cultures together, which meets the film maker Perrine’s aim in promoting cross-cultural understanding through film
Crossroads: Between Vietnam and Mongolia is accompanied by a live performance of three talented Vietnamese musicians: Quynh Chi (accordion), Dinh Lan (singer) and Thuy Dzung (Dan Tranh – traditional musical instrument)
The musicians will open with some select pieces followed by the films screening along with their live accompaniment. A question and Answer session will follow with the film producer and the musicians.
