From Toi xe dich Project:

Len dong – hat van is an indispensable part of the Holy Mother Worship (Dao Mau) in Vietnam. Hau dong, the moment when Deity realm and human realm integrate, elicits the hope of a comfortable, peaceful and wealthy life under the protection of Deities.

The “Windy Day 10: Hau dong – Deity realm, human realm” program is held by Toixedich, with the presence of Professor Ngo Duc Thinh –former Director of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. He is one of the most knowledgeable experts in researching Vietnamese Holy Mother Worship.

In this event, participants have a chance to join the talk with Professor Ngo Duc Thinh who will provide the vivid history and the rituals of Dao Mau as well as hau dong in particular. In addition, there will also be experiential stories shared by the insiders – dong cot.

Besides, audiences can enjoy the harmonious combination of folk songs, musical accompaniment and the lissom dance of dong cot in their colorful costumes, which creates excellent displays of hau dong. It is, therefore, the opportunity to witness joyful, familiar but sacred and solemn moments of hau dong for those who have never experienced it before.

For the people who have prejudice against hau dong, let’s for once open your heart and perceive the holy feelings in hau dong, then realize the recurrent aspiration of peaceful life deep inside you. For those who consider hau dong as something confusing or vague, let’s join “Windy Day 10: Hau dong – Deity realm, human realm” to feel the permanent, accustomed and affectionate national spirit.

This event is entrance free. Please confirm your attendance at http://windyday10.sukien.io/ or http://bit.ly/wd10-haudong.
