Workshop description

After looking and discussing the works of participants, Kiên will introduce ways on how to create a visual narration (reportage, series, essays); discuss with students on how to apply these structures to their works and go beyond.

Students will have to research and propose a topic beforehand which they will pursue in the afternoon and evening; learn how to edit their series and discuss how to further develop their works.

Workshop Outcomes

– Knowing basics of storytelling as a reportage, through using series and visualizing a broader topic as a photographic essay.
– Learning how to edit and finalize your photographic series.
– Breaking “rules” and going beyond photography.
