Fine arts as a medium for a dialogue between different artists of two nations: The exhibition Dialogues is on display from May 5 to May 29 at Goethe-Institut. The exhibition offers an artistic dialogue between different imageries from lacquer paintings through to oil paintings.
The exhibition will be opened on May 4, 6 PM in the presence of the participating artists.
Armen Gevorgyan was born in Armenia in 1960. After studying art in his home country he moved to Germany. For several years now he lives and works in Vietnam.
Le Thi Minh Tam, born 1976 in Hanoi, studied at Vietnam University of Fine Arts. As a member of Vietnam Fine Arts Association she exhibits regularly in Hanoi.
Nguyen Dinh Duy Quyen was born 1987 in Hue where he studied at Hue University of Fine Arts. His new series of works deals with environmental and climate changes.
Nguyen Dinh Vu, born 1980 in Thai Nguyen, studied at Vietnam University of Fine Arts. In 2015 the artist had his first solo exhibition in Hong Kong.
Nguyen Van Duy was born in Nghe An province in 1989. In 2013 he graduated from Hue College of Arts. Nguyen Van Duy lives and works in Hue and exhibits his works nationwide.
Tran Gia Tung, born 1970 in Hanoi, studied at Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema and graphics at Hanoi Industrial Arts University. Tran Gia Tung exhibits internationally, amongst others in France, Italy and Korea.
Tran Hoang Hai Yen, born 1979 in Hanoi, studied design at Whitehouse Institute of Design in Australia. After returning to Vietnam she lives and works in Hanoi.
Dinh Quan was born 1964 in Hai Phong. The artist studied lacquer painting at Vietnam University of Fine Arts and exhibited amongst others in China, France and Singapore.
Trinh Minh Tien, born 1983, studied at Vietnam University of Fine Arts Hanoi. Trinh Minh Tien exhibits internationally and is co-organizer of Tet Art, Vietnam’s leading contemporary art fair.
