In 2016, People’s Artist Dang Nhat Minh received the “Licorne d’Or” cup at the Amiens International Film Festival for his entire film career. Especially, his 8 films (Thị xã trong tầm tay, Bao giờ cho đến tháng Mười, Cô gái trên song, Trở về, Thương nhớ đồng quê, Hà Nội mùa đông 46, Mùa ổi, Đừng đốt) were well received by the audience at FIFAM this year.

French-Vietnamese director Le Lam, one of the AMIEN Film festival board, summarized the audience’s comments in a letter to the director:

1/ All of his films are filled with kindness and love.
2/ They express the tolerance and sacrifice of the Vietnamese people
3/ They are beautiful and gentle.
4/ The characters show their love and respect toward their families.

Gebuijs is a Dutch poet and teacher. He is very interested in Dang Nhat Minh’s films and has organized Dang Nhat Minh’s films introduction events in the Netherlands, Hanoi.
