Artist Talk: Sandrine & Phi Phi Oanh – “Different Perspectives”

Sandrine Llouquet is a French-Vietnamese artist graduated from the École Pilote Internationale d’Art et de Recherche – Villa Arson. She has experimented various modes of artistic practice which strongly indicate Western philosophy.
Vietnamese-American artist Phi Oanh, on her journey to re-establish Vietnamese lacquer paintings through extremely new practices, is considered to be the representative of the new generation. She will have a joint lacquer painting exhibition with Nguyen Gia Tri organized by the National Gallery Singapore (13 Jun – 3 Sep).
The talk will provide different cultural perspectives of two artists during their working processes.
