From the organizer:

You are invited to the event “From Traditional to Modern Tò He” to get to know the origin of the traditional Vietnamese children’s toy Tò He (toy figurine) its transformation from past to present.

Program

MORNING:
– 9h30 to 10h: welcome guests.
– 10h to 10h10: opening program (introducing Hanoi 1010 & purpose of the event).
– 10h10 to 10h30: introduction from artisans about the origin of Tò He
– 10h30 to 11h: introduction from artisans about the transformation of Tò He from past to present.
– 11h to 11h30: introduction to the process of making Tò He

AFTERNOON:
– 14h to 15h: talk with Tò He artisans: Preservation and development of the Tò He craft – a Vietnamese cultural identity.
– 15h to 17h: participants get hands-on experience of making Tò He and other folk toys under the guidance of artisans and MyHanoi members (*).
– 17h: end of program
