From the organizer:

21 JAN UPDATE: The exhibition is extended until 27 Jan 2018 at NEST by AIA (floor 4, Tower B, Vincom Trade Center, No. 191 Ba Trieu, Hanoi).

The storytelling exhibition “One Thousand Odd Children’s Stories” is the result of a trans-Vietnam journey of 5 girls to listen and tell the stories about Vietnamese families through the project “All Families Are Great”!

We would like to invite you to the exhibition where you can “unwind” and listen to your inner child, and hear the stories of 1,000 children from all over the country – from the northern cities of Hanoi, Tuyen Quang to the central provinces of Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and the southern province of Tay Ninh. It can be a story about a bag of dried beef bought at the school gate, or a handmade puppet, or a letter written to a father asking him to quit drinking.

We hope that the exhibition will be a bridge, connecting children and adults – those that once were children, nurturing the seeds of happiness and the innate ability to love inside each and every one of us, as well as presenting the children’s viewpoints on family diversity.

Free entry

* Please understand that we don’t take reservations for the talk on 06 Jan. Please arrive early at 6.30pm to find yourself a comfortable seat and check out the exhibition. Our talk will start at 7pm sharp, and the doors will be closed at 7.10pm.

“All Families Are Great”! is a not-for-profit educational project promoting respect for diversity by providing information on family models different to the traditional one (one father – one mother – children) such as divorced parents, two fathers, two mothers, single father/mother, families without children, families who adopt children…
