Tin từ L’Espace:

You are invited to the talk Hanoi – Paris: Is there no border for air pollution? with the participation of:

– Ms. Karine LEGER, Director of Airparif – an organization that monitors the air quality in Paris.
– Mr. Olivier CHRETIEN, Head of Environmental Impacts Division of the Agence de l’écologie urbaine de la Ville de Paris (Paris Urban Ecology Agency).
– Mr. Tran Huy Anh, Representative of Hanoi Association of Architects.
– Emcee: Ms. Nguyen Hoang Diep, film director and writer.

Recently, Hanoi’s air quality has been constantly in alert in the press. Is the capital of Vietnam the most polluted city in the world? Has the city of Paris ever had to face this situation? Air pollution is currently a major issue in most cities around the world. Can two geographically distant cities encounter the same problem?

This talk will be an occasion for the experts from these two cities of different continents to share their stories: the one of Paris’ air pollution over the past 20 years will meet that of Hanoi, in hope to find similarities and lessons to be learned in pollution control.

Through this talk, the guests and the public can share their experiences regarding health and air protection and the solutions currently being implemented by France and Vietnam.

We hope that this will be a platform to answer the question: How to make the future city liveable for its citizens and pleasing to the human senses?
