About the work
“Humans gradually push themselves away from nature and wilderness. With their endless greed, they manufactured products to serve immediate purposes. Ignoring the future.”
Hà Thúy Hằng was born in the North-West mountainous area, where it has over 100ha of natural land and over 60% of the land is 700m above sea level. As a Thai person, she feels strongly about moving to the urban area, where she struggles to fit in with the pace, the intensity and the sounds of the buzzling city.
“Flying-Mania” is Hà Thúy Hằng’s vision of a hypothetical universe in the future. The work consists of visual and music elements with sounds installation.
About the artist
Ha Thuy Hang is an independent musician working in Hanoi. She graduated with a degree in Musicology from Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2015 and has performed in Vietnam, Italy, Germany, Malta, South Korea, etc. and received numerous national and international awards.
In her artistic practices, Hang is especially interested in the contemporariness of Vietnamese traditional music, and is always searching for new pathways into impromptu music making – improvising from traditional Vietnamese musical material and instruments and incorporating elements of modern and electronic music.

– In order to best experience the work, we can only accommodate a maximum of 5 persons for each slot
