New Documentary Films from Vietnam

07 & 08 Nov
Goethe

This Festival presents new films by young Vietnamese filmmakers who participated in a Workshop jointly organized by Atelier Varan from Paris, the Studio for Documentary and Scientific Films in Hanoi, the Ford Foundation and the Goethe-Institut Vietnam. Since 2004, young film-makers have received training and support in their first steps in making documentary films. After months of work in the Varan Workshop 2009, this year’s participants have completed their documentary films and now present them in a small festival. They give very individual insights into their lives, their neighborhoods and the fate of their surroundings.
