Hanoi Sound Stuff is back in April with an impressive list of international artists hailing from Germany, UK, Belgium and France.

MIJK VAN DIJK (Germany)

Mijk van Dijk lives and works in Berlin. He was one of the first artists to emerge from the early Berlin Techno scene in 1990 and in 1992 Mijk mixed Techno beats with emotive sounds and together with Cosmic Baby coined the term „Trance“.

Mijk van Dijk is now merging all his musical strengths into a sound of House, which includes his love for Boogie beats and basslines as well as his old school expertise and his trademark sounds from a musical career of over two decades.

GOOD GUY MIKESH (Germany)

After stumbling across Good Guy Mikesh and making an edit of his track ‘Freddy’ – Maceo Plex delved deeper into the back catalogue and decided he was bona fide Ellum material…

One demo request later and the ‘From Another World EP’ was born.
 A trio of original tracks, one of which features production partner Filburt, it’s dark, beautiful and warm music for cold winter nights.

MICACHU (UK)

Mica Levi, known by her stage name Micachu (born 1987), is an English singer, songwriter, composer, and producer. She is classically trained and is best known for her band Micachu & The Shapes and for experimental music in a variety of genres ranging from Pop, Alternative to Grime and Grindie.

JOAKIM (France)

Joakim-HSS2014

One of France’s foremost electronic musicians, Joakim has a background in classical music, indie-rock and jazz. He discovered electronic music after a schoolfriend left his synthesizer in Joakim’s room, later latching onto indie and electronic labels such as Warp and Mo Wax.

His first album, Tiger Sushi, was ambient electro-jazz, before he moved onto electronics with Fantômes (2003), and most recently Monsters and Silly Songs (2007), on which he combines post-rock, disco, electronics, and out-there sounds.

BENJAMIN SCHOOS (Wallonie-Bruxelles/Belgium)

Multi-instrumentalist , producer and songwriter Benjamin Schoos is concentrating his efforts into producing lush, string-laden, melancholic and very romantic French pop. Benjamin has created a rich, rhythmic FM pop sound drawing on the glossy melody and soaring synthesizers of ’70s soft rock with orchestral flourishes taken from the best of French cinema soundtracks.

Micachu, Benjamin Schoos and Joakim will be playing the first night while Good Guy Mikesh and Mijk van Dijk will be rocking the stage on the second night, make sure you secure your spot before the tickets run out!
