Oscilloscope
noun. – 1900 ◊ from oscillate and –scope ■ Electronic equipment that provides visual images of varying electrical spontaneity on paper and ink.
Sitting in the boring meetings, we often catch our fingers touching, playing the corner of the table or mindlessly doodle in the corner of the envelope. While sitting at a street corner waiting for a friend who show up late, we sometimes use that waiting time to draw a few doodle on the back of the old receipts left in our pockets. After hours of chatting on the phone, the result of those long conversations is the battle of doodle lines traveling on the desk, and on all drafting papers by the phone. There are also many doodle drawing left behind on the walls and doors of the public restrooms.
Those doodles seems to be nonsense, but sometimes they can reflect the inner feeling, more or less the personal mood. Even though they did not articulate anything concrete or presented in any title, they suggested a lot of new visual ideas in which they were born from the emptiness.
