Cinematheque – OWL AND THE SPARROW
20-30 Dec (except 21 and 24)
OWL AND THE SPARROW
We are pleased to be the only cinema in Vietnam to present the recent Vietnamese feature film, OWL AND THE SPARROW. This lovely movie, written and directed by Vietnamese-American Stephane Gauger, has until now been playing and winning awards at a number of major international film festivals, but was rejected by the mainstream Vietnamese cinemas for being ‘not commercial enough’ (another way of saying that Vietnamese audiences prefer foreign films to Vietnamese films).
Friends of Vietnam Heritage recently featured this film.
From the Cinematheque members email:
We will be screening OWL AND THE SPARROW at 19:00 every evening
