Within the frame of the Europe Days, the Embassy of Spain in collaboration with the Institut Valenciá d’Art Modern (IVAM) and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, is pleased to present, at the Fine Arts Museum of Vietnam, the itinerant exhibition Alberto Corazón. Painting, sculpture and conceptual work,1968-2008, covering the production of this Spanish artist from the end of the sixties until today, and including a selection of 30 art pieces including paintings, sculptures and documents.
In spite of being considered a pioneer in Spanish conceptual art, this part of his work is not widely known, therefore this exhibition focuses on showing its complexity, presenting some of his experimental contribution.
From his beginnings, Alberto Corazón combined artistic production with his professional activity as graphic designer first, and industrial designer later. He is certainly one of the most innovative and influential figures in our country. Transfers from theoretical approach and formal resources between design and creative activity have been constant in his production, characterised by self-reflection and interdisciplinary knowledge integration.
