Audition and pre-game meeting

Performance and Open-Mic tentative date and venue: a late afternoon in the second weekend of August (August 8 or 9) @ Lenin Park, Điện Biên Phủ

Anyone can be an artist, and anywhere can be a stage. On the second weekend of August, Lenin Park will be the very honored stage of theater and poetry geeks. Come and perform Shakespeare, read ee cummings, Lâm Thị Mỹ Dạ, or Trương Quế Chi‘s love poems and sonnets, perform dialogues or monologues and soliloqy, even The Vagina Monologues. Together we’ll overcome language barrier and perform by all languages we can (we have some readings available in English and Vietnamese already).  Come to the open-mic with any theatrical forms you like. Submit or suggest pieces you want us to perform. We’re stand together on the stage among trees, flowers, and Mister Lenin from Russia.

PIP (Poetry in the Park) will have a casual audition and meeting at 2-6pm this Sunday at the Hanoi Cinematheque. It’s time for you all to meet up and discuss the project’s concept. You might be assigned a role or two as well! You can come at any point during that 4 hours time, and stay as long as you want. Be there!
