An underground favourite for many years, Girl Talk (aka Gregg Gillis) caught the attention of a wider audience with his groundbreaking Night Ripper album in 2006, since when he has become a festival sensation around the world, renowned as much for his wild live performances as his trademark hyper-sampled sound.

Gillis rose to even great heights with the release of his fourth full-length effort, 2008’s Feed the Animals (available as a pay-what-you-want download from www.illegal-art.net), an album that made the best-of lists of everyone from Pitchfork to Time Magazine, winning Girl Talk recognition as one of the most creative producers working today, with FastCompany.com hailing Gillis as the world’s “first truly postmodern rockstar”.
Girl Talk is the latest in a line-up of more than 35 acts to be brought to Vietnam by the Hanoi-based CAMA collective, Hanoi’s leading independent music promoters and co-founders of the infamous Hanoi International Music Festival.

“Cue up his new album Feed the Animals, take a deep breath, and try not to put your face through a wall.” (melophobe.com)

“In every way, a show you can’t miss.” (beatcrave.com)

“Gillis is not a DJ or remix artist; he is, quite simply, a sound magician.” (seewhatyouhear.com)
