Heart of the Festival by the festival president Gilles Jacob.

Clean directed by Olivier Assayas, starring Maggie Cheung – the first Asian actress to win a prize at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Actress 2004.
• 28 May, 8 pm
Entre les Murs (The Class) directed by Laurent Cantet – Golden Palm 2008.
