Exhibition: 21 – 30 Aug
Vietnam Fine Arts Museum
The Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum – under the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism – will jointly host the exhibition of DINGBATS BRAZIL – an outstanding example of Brazilian graphic arts.
DINGBATS BRAZIL is an exhibition that features the first decade (1996 – 2006) of Brazil’s production of digital pictorial alphabets – the dingbats – through thirty-five projects by 22 prominent contemporary designers. Selected by Brazilian graphic designer Bruno Porto in 2006 while he was the Coordinator of Illustration Studies for the Visual Arts Institute of Rio de Janeiro’s UniverCidade, the exhibition presents a chronicle of Brazilian culture through icons of its music, religion, arts, sports, cuisine and design.
