Future Shorts brings some top notch international and local film to Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival 2011. Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival aspires to create a unique world of quality electronic and experimental music and art with boundary-pushing sounds, creative performances and collaborations between Vietnamese and International artists to spur an interest among young Vietnamese audiences.
The official film selection for April offers a hand-drawn look on romance in the beautiful This is Love, life in a Russian circus in The Poodle Trainer, childbirth in Mother of Many, serene and stylish music videos from PJ Harvey and Liars, plus many more.
The regional program includes a struggle to preserve tradition in My Own Cycle, nostalgic desire in Sexy Beach and frenetic homage in Thriller. Also featured will be the Austrian film Koi by tinhoko, music by Stefan Nemeth.
Schedule:
6 – 7 pm: Silent Jukebox
7 – 9 pm – International and Regional Films
9 – 11 pm – Silent DJs featuring DJ Cache & Vaughn
Ticket price: 50 000 VND for entry into the festival. Free then to enter Future Shorts area.
