Southeast Asian Youth Program 2011: calling for application

From Vietnam Youth Union:
The National Committee of Vietnam Youth will organize a competition to select 29 outstanding delegates, representing Vietnam to participate in the Southest Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) 2011 (expected from 25 Nov 2011 until 16 Dec 2011) in Japan and five ASEAN countries including the Philippines, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Requirements:
– Vietnamese citizen from 18 years old to 30 years old (preferably under 25 year of age).
– Ability to use English fluently.
– Good health, especially not seasickness, motion sickness, aircraft.
– Good understanding and ability to introduce the country, and people of Vietnam, on the economic achievements, political, cultural and youth movements and activities of Vietnam Youth.
– Good understanding of economic, cultural, political and social conditions of the ASEAN countries and Japan.
– There is a sense of discipline and good sense of solidarity, capable of teamwork, the ability to organize and participate in group activities.
– Experience and participate actively in social work, group activities, Student Association.
Selection process:
Candidates selected for SSEAYP 2011 have to pass 2 rounds:
Preliminary Round: each candidate must submit:
– An essay in English to introduce about themselves, why they wish to participate in the program and present their thoughts on youth participation in social activities.
– The curriculum vitae certified by local government.
– Certificate of health (by the hospital district or higher level).
– Copy of identity card, diplomas and certificates in English (notarized).
– Two 04×06 photo shoot on a white background, 01 natural photo.
– A certification by the Union on the basis of achievements and contribution of active candidates for Union / Association at the facility, local.
