From Hanoi Rock City:
5 years ago, on 13th September 2006, hip-hop announced the sad passing of one of its greatest icons: Tupac Ameru Shakur, at the tender age of 25, after he was shot outside a Mike Tyson boxing fight seven days earlier.
Remembered mostly for his six studio albums and a big player in the East Coast, West Coast hip-hop rivalry, Tupac was also a budding actor, and a talented poet.
This Thursday 15th September, HRC presentz a special edition of Motion Xplode: Tupac Tribute. 15 years on…
Featuring live art, poetry readings of 2Pac’s words, freestyle dance, and large screenings of his films, this evening will help us to remember and pay tribute to a bold, yet sensitive talent, who has become one of the world’s best selling artists, and an inspiration to so many.
Free entry.

It’s 1996 not 2006… But he’s not really dead anyway
