Supersize Saigon returns once again to deliver the finest in up-and-coming international and local music talent, with The Lost Souls Club making their highly anticipated return to Saigon, with support coming from Vietnamese funk-rockers 6789 Band.

Having previously headlined Supersize Saigon and the prestigious Tiger Translate festival to wide acclaim at the turn of the year, British alternative rock band, The Lost Souls Club, have amassed an impressive and dedicated fan base across Southeast Asia over the last nine months. Their impressive live performances at The Canadian Music Festival in Toronto and at Perth’s One Movement Festival have also put these boys firmly on the international music scene map.

Named the Best Alternative Act at this year’s Exposure Music Awards, the quartet bring a dark, atmospheric and reverb-laden rock sound to their live shows, with hints of The Dead Weather, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Jesus and the Mary Chain informing their M.O.

The highly respected Kerrang! magazine has described The Lost Souls’ live shows as ‘a visually stunning prospect’ and ‘a real force to be reckoned with’. And with further shows booked in Hanoi, Singapore and Australia (in support of their soon-to-be-released EP), there’s no better time to catch these hugely talented upstarts.

A rarity by local standards, the unique 6789 Band is part of a new breed of young Saigon bands redefining the scope of original Vietnamese guitar music. Having cultivated a devoted following thanks to their much talked-about and long-time weekly residency at Yoko and previous appearances at Supersize Saigon and the CAMA Music Festival in Hanoi, their groovy hybrid of rock, ska, reggae and funk should serve as an irresistible opening act.
