Are you an artist wishing you had a studio to work in? Are you an artist wishing you had money to realize your ideas? Are you an artist interested in experimenting with your artistic practice? San Art seeks your application for ‘San Art Laboratory’!

‘San Art Laboratory’ is a studio/residency program, initiated and managed by San Art, in Ho Chi Minh City. Beginning May 2012, this program aims to provide 6 Vietnamese artists (under 35) with studio and living space for 6 months each throughout the following year, over 2 sessions.

During each ‘lab session’ (residency period), three artists must be willing to participate in regular writing and discussion regarding their work and ideas with a specific mentor.

Successful applicants will be granted USD1000 production money, a studio to make their art, separate living quarters and a small living allowance.
Each lab session will end with a group exhibition at San Art showcasing realized work.

The ‘San Art Laboratory’ Advisory Board will assess all applications for successful applicants. (International applications will be considered with particular terms and conditions).
