From Goethe Institut:
A free art space, three nationalities and four different types of expression. On 16 Dec 2011, the artists Jacob Riis, Dang Hao, Michelle Stewart and Nguyen Thanh Thuy together with their audience move with, against and towards one other in a 3D-improvisation in the courtyard and exhibition hall of the Goethe-Institute Hanoi.

The interactive performance of the four artists plays with a mixture of light, sound and feelings, and embarks on a journey to our subconscious in search of a place we call home. The 3D improvisation creates a space that connects audience and artists. The electronic musician, the photographer, the all-round artist and the experimental-traditional musician balance on this bond and strive in their journey for an exchange that through music, voice, emotion, body movements and photography creates a chain reaction. Each link in this chain is a sentence in the conversation that develops between artist and audience. Such an interactive improvisation is a mutual interpretation and response: for example, the photographer responds to unexpected noises, voices and movements, as he tries to capture the moment in an image. The conversation continues until the last word is spoken. But what remains is that which has been newly formed, similar to an exchange of views that resonates within us, even when our interlocutor is no longer sitting next to us.
