Attention Artists: Residency Application

NAME Art Space calls for application for residency for 2012 – 2013

NAME Art Space open for artists from all over the world and Vietnamese artists to apply for residency for 2012 – 2013 from NOW and the residency can start from April 2012. We provide work space and accommodations. 

NAME Art Space is an artist-led space for art activities, exhibition, workshop, residency for international artists to work and exchange ideas. NAME aims to support young artists to practice forms of art such as multimedia art, public and community based art, performance, environmental, installation and other experimental cultural forms.

Promote cross cultural exchange with the slogan “Now Arts Move East – NAME”, NAME welcome exchange and dialogue in visual arts and is open to new ideas.

Aims and Objectives:

• To support, develop and promote new and young artists to work and experiment contemporary art
• To enhance cultural understanding and encourage the exchange of ideas by Vietnam and International artists through workshop, exhibition and other activities.
• To inspire interest among the local community for Art through education, exhibition and seminars.

If you want to contribute to our projects in any ways, we now have several:

1. Traditional Vietnamese lacquer workshop (Vietnamese and international artists will exchange techniques and work together on lacquer materials and other materials)

2. Bilingual multimedia poetry collection (a combination between print, audio, video/sound/music so a poem can have more than one version and can be distributed to more people online)

3. Art 4 Locals which will start with 1 2 3 drawing classes for KIDS at Sui Village, where NAME Art Space is located.

AND, If you have your own idea to work with Vietnamese artists and/or you want to go to Vietnam to live and work, feel free to contact us and we will send our Residency Guidelines to you.
