Regarded as one of the three most influential figures in modern Vietnamese music, Trịnh Công Sơn was nicknamed “Vietnam’s Bob Dylan” by Joan Baez. This is a special chance to engage with this very important part of Vietnam’s culture. Key translations and explanations will be given for many songs. Translated books of lyrics available to early arrivals. Accompanied by handmade paper installation by master calligrapher, Trinh Tuan. Featuring Van Dao: guitarist, Hong Nhung: female vocals & Anh Van: male vocals.

I can see no common things (music, characteristics) between TCS and Bob Dylan.
The comparison is driven by some genre crossover and the anti-war activity participated in by both artists. I think there’s some aesthetic comparison going on too despite their different genetics.
