Come to Combi Event this Saturday with Artist’s Talk by Phan Quang & Open Studio 2.

In relation to the exhibition Space / Limit, Phan Quang, will share his ideas and thoughts by answering questions regarding his art practice in conversation with journalist Trần Công Khanh with the appearance of visual artist Ưu Đàm. 

Trần Công Khanh is a senior writer and journalist, whose articles cover art, culture, cuisine and architecture. He has worked for more than 10 years at SGTT Newspaper and is currently Managing Editor there.

You are invited to the artist studios of 3 artist-in-residence Trần Xuân Anh, Nguyễn Hữu Trâm Kha, Ngô Đình Bảo Châu, and New Yorker writer – artist Christopher Myers.

What to look forward to?

This is the last Open Studio before the artists exhibit the final show as result of their 6-month residency at San Art Laboratory. So you will have a chance to see the process experimenting ideas into physical artworks. Bảo Châu examines the contrasts among forms, materials and sculptural practices. Xuân Anh confronts Vietnamese norms of art and craft, while Trâm Kha merges printmaking, drawing and sewing techniques with personal history. Besides, Christopher Myers will show designs for traditional Indonesian style shadow puppets telling the dramatic journals of father of modern dance.
