On 25th and 26th April, the students of Städelschule invite everyone interested to participate in open workshops. In the form of a market, there will be several stands where students are going to show and discuss photos, films and books. Furthermore, there will be another stand where participants will be shown how to build tents from different materials (including bamboo).

On both evenings, several short films will be screened in the courtyard of Goethe-Institut. Besides films of the art students and DocLab, Professor Simon Starling and Nguyen Trinh Thi are going to show one of their works. Notice: The screening is open only for participants of the workshop and members of DocLab.

The contemporary fine arts academy “Staedelschule” in Frankfurt is one of the most traditional art schools in Germany. The degree courses in visual arts and architecture are visited by many international students, renowned German and international artists teach there. In April the master class of Professor Simon Starling will take a study trip to Vietnam. The 26 students will visit cultural places, meet artists and process their impressions artistically. At the end of their journey the master class will be guest at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi and present their work, which will be created during the trip.
