Marriage is a journey. Getting out of marriage is a journey, too. The woman wanders alone through Europe to understand one thing that even though “fear of unhappiness is the most wasted fear in life”, every step away from marriage is full of torment.
Phan Viet is the favorite author of many Vietnamese readers. Born in 1978, she has created a collection of short stories: “Futility” (2005, Second Prize in Literacy Campaign for 20 III); “United States” (2009); novel “Human voice” (2008), and the book series “Misfortune is a fortune” (2013). After graduating from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, she got a PhD degree from the University of Chicago and currently being an associate professor cum university lecturer in United States.
