HCMC – Arts Festival Autumn Melodies 2013

From HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO):
After 8 year from the first performance, the annual program “Gala Autumn Melodies” from Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera more and more develops and improves its quality. At first, this performance is in honour of the accomplishment and rewards of Vietnamese talents in performing arts who has studied abroad. Hundreds artists from “Gala Autumn Melodies” are successful in artistic path and continued to dedicate to Vietnamese academical art such as: Bùi Công Duy, Nguyễn Hữu Khôi Nam, Nguyễn Hữu Nguyên, Hoàng Linh Chi, Nguyễn Mạnh Duy Linh, Bích Trà, Đào Nhật Quang, Tăng Thanh Nam, Trần Nhật Minh, Trần Đức Minh, Lê Phi Phi, Nguyễn Anh Sơn, Trần Hữu Quốc, Nguyễn Phúc Hùng, Đặng Linh Nga, Phan Thị Hồng Châu, Cao Chí Thành, Nguyễn Thị Chúc Quỳnh, Tạ Thùy Chi …
Even the international artists are interested in this program because of the development and prestige, there are more and more international artists come to perform. “Gala Autumn Melodies” becomes the best quality annual program, it’s the demand of the public and tourists in Ho Chi Minh city. “Gala Autumn Melodies” is the valuable event of high art which is expected as well as the typical cultural feature of city.
In the year of 2013, because of the demand of new development, Gala Autumn Melodies” is improved and enhanced with the larger scale becomes “FESTIVAL AUTUMN MELODIES”, with the participation of hundreds professional artists from foreign countries as well as from Vietnam in the fields of concert and dancing.

Some famous artists from Hanoi: violinist Bui Cong Duy, clarinetist Quoc Bao from Vietnam National Academy of music, Mer. A – bassoonist Nguyen Tri Dung from Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
A large number of international artists take part in festival this year: Two young talents from Moscow: Tran Dieu Linh & Tran Dieu An, 6 young talents from Spivakov foundation, Russia, the famous pianist from German: Hinrich Alpers, the famouse German conductor Christian Schumann, famous Norwegian choreographer Johanne Jakhelln Constant … will perform with HBSO artists.
“FESTIVAL AUTUMN MELODIES 2013” will be taken place from 16th to 22nd August, 2013 at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, include 7 performances with impressive scale and high level with the purpose to become the typical arts festival of Ho Chi Minh city which is periodically organized to meet the demand of audiences in city or from other cities as well as international tourists.
