This will be an artist talk as performative interview. It will involve Phan Thao Nguyen and Nguyen Hong Ngoc interrogating each other regarding subjects, materials, process and methodologies concerning each of their artwork production over the last 6 months as residents of ‘San Art Laboratory’. They will give you a window onto their trials and experiments with materials such as jute, charcoal, neon, bronze, oil on x-ray film and light, sharing not only the in-depth research they carried out of these materials, but also their analysis of the history and meaning behind them.
