From the organizer:

Festival of India in Vietnam is organized from March 5-15, 2014 to promote cultural linkage between the two countries.

Schedule

1. Classical Dance Recital: Nrityarupa – a mosaic of Indian classical dance showcasing six major Indian dance traditions of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kathakali, Odissi, Manipuri and Chhau.

Free tickets to both events can be collected from the Consulate General of India, 55 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3, HCMC.

2. Buddhist Festival: The Buddhist Festival will comprise of meditation, lama dance and chanting by Buddhist monks from India. Entry for all events is free.

11 – 15 Mar: Buddhist monks preparing a sand mandala and butter sculpture

3. Food, folk dance and Mehendi: Chefs from India are being specially flown in to prepare Indian dishes. A Rajasthani Folk dance troupe, Kalbelia, will perform during the Food Festival. A Henna (mehendi) artist from India would also be present at the Food Festival, for henna hand painting. The food festival is open to all on payment basis
