From the organizer:

“Through the Windows of Life” is a photography exhibition from the Humans of Hà Nội project and the first of many to come. Consisting of more than 1000 pictures, each telling a story of a person, the intent of the exhibition is to depict the mosaic of life in the city, of people of all ages and backgrounds. We want to break down the social barriers and help people, especially the youths, to build a sense of acceptance, understanding and sympathy for other people.

Coming to the exhibition, guests will be immersed in the eccentric and ambient atmosphere of the Chula House and surrounded with walls of pictures depicting people in the midst of life. A cyclo driver with a refreshingly positive outlook on life, young people on their pursuit of big dreams, or the veterans who once sacrificed their lives for peace – those are just some of the portraits presented in the exhibition. Hanoi, a city with the population of 7 million people, is the grand picture of our exhibition, in which majestic shades and vivid, lively hues blend together to create a picture of 7 million colors.

Come to the exhibition with your own stories too – it’s meant to be an interactive space, where you can be your own color, blend in and stand out at the same time. Don’t hesitate to share your own experience of being in Hanoi. And just like that, gently and slowly, we will walk through the windows of life together.”
