  1. I’ve attended several of these Ca Tru performances in Hanoi. The cozy, intimate setting imbued with tones of the sacred, the proximity of the performances, the acoustic quality of sounds and the rapport between performers and audience – they invite you to try some the instruments and hand out “sticks” that you can tap to the rhythm of the music – all lend to the magical atmosphere where the history and charm of the genre and the passion of the performers comes across vividly.
