Thu 25 Sep 2014, 7 pm
From Goethe Institut:
Each year the International Input TV Conference looks for the most innovative, most provocative and most interesting TV programmes and TV formats from around the world in order to present them to an expert audience. The Goethe-Institut organizes a Mini-Input – a smaller version of the International Input – in the region each year. After last years´ successes in Thailand and the Philippines the Goethe-Institut brings the Mini-Input Southeast Asia this year for the first time to Vietnam. This exciting expert conference provides more than 70 TV producers and filmmakers from 11 countries (Australia, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) the opportunity to catch up on the newest developments in the world of TV: Which new and creative ideas are there for TV programmes? Which formats are internationally successful and can serve as a model? TV is still for the majority of the population the most important media for information and entertainment, but there is a fierce competition with online formats.
Eventually, the Mini-Input also serves as a platform for exchange with colleagues from the neighboring countries and international experts.
Opening of the Mini-Input 2014: TV-Show “Married at First Sight”
This reality show from Denmark is an unusual social experiment: The candidates for marriage are selected and only get to know each other in front of the wedding altar. The TV Show accompanies the freshly married couples during their daily life routine after the wedding. A very successful TV show which provoked many debates.
