From the organizer:

Future Shorts Vietnam returns to HCMC to showcase electrifying short films and filmmakers from around the world.

For over 10 years, Future Shorts has built the world’s largest community for short film fans worldwide – from Finland to Vietnam, via Mexico to Kazakhstan.

This season’s program includes: “Two Films About Loneliness”, a stop-motion animated film directed by Christopher Eales; “Mynarski Death Plummet, a psychedelic envisioning of the final moments of WWII hero, Andrew Mynarski; and “The Missing Scarf”, a black comedy narrated by George Takei about the fear of the unknown.

Our local program also includes the film “Burn to Send (Đốt Về Trời)”, set amidst Saigon’s underground motorcycle racing scene, about a young man and woman struggling to define their ambiguous romance. We’ll also have a Q&A with the director, Andinh Ha, and producer, Jenni Trang Le.

Future Shorts is a global event that has spanned over 90 countries and 300 cities. Be a part of it!
