This Saturday, The Hanoi Social Club is proud to present Matt Montez. As well as at Hanoi’s own Quest Festival, he’s played Beat-Herder Festival, Little Big Gig Festival, Nimbin Roots Festival, Rock The Gate at Bryon Bay and toured throughout Europe and East Coast Australia. Yes, he’s played all these festivals because he’s very bloody good!

Breaking genre boundaries with acoustic-rock, roots, folk and reggae, he’ll lead you to spiritual introspection before summoning your feet to dance. Explosive live performances fueled by the atmosphere of the crowd, he feeds off the energy and flourishes in the feeling of connection.

Rather than writing structurally, Matt gives way to his feelings in the moment to guide the natural direction and progression for each song, while intertwining the lyrics with the melody. His music comes from the heart. Lyrically, each song has a spiritual meaning or a positive message to enlighten people through their daily lives.
