”AndroidRed” – A Virtual Reality Sci-Fi Series – Call for Support
From the filmmaker of “Vibrant Highland, Commercial Love” and “DPRK: The Land of Whispers”:
AndroidRed – A VR360 Sci-Fi Series
An epic, interplanetary Virtual Reality journey from Etherium Sky Films
Stage 1: Development
“…I am building a spaceship. Once done, I will shoot a mindblowing independent 360VR narrative series unlike anything you’ve seen before. Will you support me on this endeavor?” – Matt Dworzanczyk
Hanoi-based filmmaker Matt Dworzanczyk is calling for backers on a new narrative series, which deals with themes of drugs, culture, social isolation, space exploration, homosexuality and existentialism. The series will be shoot in 360 Virtual Reality, giving the viewer a revolutionary, immersive experience.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The film will be independently produced as a narrative series to be released to a wide audience online. We currently have plans for 3 seasons of 6x 10min episodes per each season.
One important thing to note here is that we’re not heavily reliant on CGI or visual effects. Rather, we’re looking to create things – with our hands, the traditional way – which in our eyes is much more admirable and impressive on screen.
WHERE IT’S CURRENTLY AT
At the current moment, we have a fairly complete outline of all that needs to happen story-wise in each of the episodes in season 1 and we have a good overview of all the key plot points of the following two seasons.
We are now seeking to bring on a talented writer to complete the script for our first season of the series. This is where most of the funds raised in this fundraiser campaign will go.
MONEY STUFF
In this first stage of our fundraising efforts, the distribution of the funds raised will be fairly simple:
~$1,100 – Initial Writer Costs
~$300 – Working with an artist to create early pre-vis sketches etc
~$300 – Initial Misc. Production Budget (grant submission fees, script registration, misc. expenses)
~$300 – Platform & Payment Fees
Once the above funds are raised and we have a good working script – hopefully by the end of 2016, we will proceed to stage 2 of the fundraising efforts – where we will seek money for the actual production of the first season of the film series.
Depending on funding and outside support the filmmakers are able to receive, the project may take some 2 years to complete. For more information on the project or to donate, please go to its fundraising campaign page on Indiegogo.
