HCMC – Performance of Ballet “The Nutcracker”

Ballet “The Nutcracker” by P.I.Tchaikovsky is one of the most well-known ballets as well as most performed so far. Using fairy shimmering, magical colours, “The Nutcracker” attracts all types of audiences, especially the younger ones. HBSO version was choreographed by the talented choreographer Johann Jakhelln Constant, premiere in 2011, has made a great success. Norwegian choreographer Johann Jakhelln Constant has many experiences in staging this work for Ballet Quad Cities (the United States), together with the enthusiasm of HBSO’s artists, “The Nutcracker” was highly appreciated by the professionals and the general public in Vietnam.

HBSO’s production of “The Nutcracker” has become an annually anticipated performance during Christmas season. “The Nutcracker” will be on stage again in December on 9th, 10th, and 11th, with the performance of HBSO ballet dancers, French ballet dancer Chloe Glemot, HBSO symphony orchestra, HBSO female choir, and the talented conductor Trần Nhật Minh.
