Japanese Cultural Festival Oshougatsu 2017

The annually non-profit Oshougatsu festival will reproduce Japan’s traditional New Year (Oshougatsu) in Vietnam and promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Main activities:

– Experience the traditional Tet atmosphere and Japanese culture freely
– 3D photos
– Sumo, pound traditional mochi cakes, calligraphy
– Draw lots, write New year wishes, omamori charm
– Try free Yukata
– Make traditional handmade stuffs, Japanese masks, Teruteru dolls, Papercraft, Origami
– Play traditional games in Japan and receive gifts from the organizer
– Several booths of food, anime, manga, and Japanese culture club
– Hundreds of lanterns, wind chimes and cultural area constructed by 3 tonnes of young bamboo.
