European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) Country-Based Support Scheme for Vietnam 2016-2017: Call for Proposals

The Delegation of the European Union in Vietnam has just launched a Call for Proposals under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) for actions in Vietnam.
We expect to be able to fund projects in three thematic areas, including “Freedom of Artistic Expression and Creativity” (Lot 2). For the remaining two areas, please see the organizer’s website at the end of this entry.
Specification on Lot 2
The specific objective of Lot 2 is to protect and promote the right to enjoy and access cultural values, participate in cultural life and make use of cultural bases as guaranteed by the Constitution of Vietnam in its Article 41.
The deadline for the submission of concept notes is 20 March 2017 at 18:00 Vietnam time. The amount allocated to Lot 2 is EUR 450,000.-
Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum amount of EUR 300,000.- and the maximum amount of EUR 450,000.-.
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT following the instructions given in the PROSPECT user manual. Upon submission of a concept note online, the lead applicant will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt in its PROSPECT profile.
Information sessions
To help applicants familiarise themselves with the system before the online submission of applications for this call for proposals, information sessions will be organised in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi:
– Ho Chi Minh City: Tuesday 21 February 2017 at 8.30am at Nam Ky Guest House: 165 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, 3 District, Ho Chi Minh
– Hanoi: Thursday 23 February 2017at 13.30h at Cong Doan Hotel: 14 Tran Binh Trong, Hai Ba Trung, Ha Noi
