On Saturday, 21 October 2017, the Goethe-Institut Hanoi is turning into a center for multilingualism for the seventh time.
The European Day of Languages was initiated by the Council of Europe and is now organized by the European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC) every year. This year’s participants are the embassies of France, Italy, as well as the Aula Cervantes, Wallonie-Bruxelles, the British Council and the Goethe-Institut.
As in previous years, the European Day of Languages consists of two parts: In the morning, scientists, linguists and teachers of foreign languages will have the chance to discuss and exchange experiences. In the afternoon, the Festival of Languages is open for everyone who is interested in experiencing the diversity of European languages. There will be workshops and much more to explore.

1 PM – 5 PM | FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES
Target group: Everyone, families with children are very welcome
The participating institutions will present their respective languages and countries. Visitors have the opportunity to learn their first words in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian and thus gain an impression of the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe.
Additionally, posters, books and brochures about Europe and its languages will be showcased.
A registration for the Festival of Languages is not necessary.
BOTH EVENTS ARE FREE OF CHARGE.
