From the organizer:

Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) is currently working on the project to move Lycée français Alexandre Yersin Hanoi – an international French school to approximately 1,000 students from kindergarten to high school – to a new location in Long Bien district. This project aims to build a school of 14,000 square meters in a 3-hectare area, where one or many artworks – complying with the policies of social responsibility for art structures named “1% Artistique” – will be displayed.

The project calls for applications of visual artworks including painting, sketches, sculptures, woodcut, lithography, graphic designs, typography or photography,… to be displayed at the school. We are expecting:
– Artworks that suit a wide range of audience: children, youth, adults
– Artworks that do not need regular care & maintenance
– Proposals that take into consideration specific conditions in which the works display and preserve: climate or security conditions of a public artwork

Total project’s budget: 90,000 euro
Of which 72,000 euro will spent on idea development, design, production and installation of the chosen artwork(s). The remaining amount will be divided between artworks whose proposals are accepted but not chosen for display.
