Son Doong is considered the largest natural cave in the world, situated in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. As of recent, news concerning tourism development in Son Doong always catch much public’s attention.
With the hefty price at 3.000USD/person (approx. 64,5 millions dong) for a tour exploring Son Doong cave (Quang Binh, Vietnam), perhaps Vietnamese people will rarely ever have a chance to marvel at this world natural heritage which stands right on their own country. Therefore, some suppose that building a cable car system will help people realize the dream of exploring “a forgotten universe hidden in an unique ecosystem” of Vietnam. But will this exchange for the loss of its adventurous, mysterious, untouched beauty – a unique, fascinating factor that makes Son Doong a one-of-a-kind wonder?
Join us in the talkshow “Son Doong tourism – only in the dream of the Vietnamese?” with Nguyen Van Anh (author) and Nguyen Hoang Anh, PhD. to obtain different perspectives on tourism development in Son Doong.
In the same event, the book “Da nhon vuc sau” recount the Son Doong experience of Nguyen Van Anh herself will be present to the public. Through what she has encountered in the trip, Van Anh links together her childhood memories about her mother, her family and her adulthood in this precious journey exploring Son Doong, which has helped her draw lessons for herself.
