You are invited to join Basic Workshop of Calligraphy on dó Paper – a workshop in association with the Zó Project. This is an event within the Program of Friends of Vietnam Heritage (FVH) in June 2018.

Program:

• Introduction to Asian and Vietnamese Calligraphy
• Introduction about Dó papers, pen, inkstone
• Watch how the teacher writes some of words such as: Peace, Happiness, Love
• Learn how to hold the brush and dot ink
• Learn to write basic strokes, lines, pressure, thick-thin lines and strokes
• Practice with sample characteristics
• Write your name

The workshop is given by a wonderfully inspiring and gentle calligraphy master.

Note: This is a general introduction to how to make calligraphic strokes, hold the ‘pen’, pressures, shapes etc. (not a workshop on learning Chinese or Nom calligraphy).

Cost: 300,000 VND per person includes calligraphy master instruction and all material
